Shani Toledano

Vice President / Associate Director of Paintings / Director of Modern & Post-War Art | European Art

Shani Toledano joined Doyle New York in 1996 and was named Senior Appraiser in the Painting Department in 2005. She is currently Director of Modern & Post-War Art. Her responsibilities include appraising and authenticating works of art, in addition to the research, cataloguing, marketing and sales of paintings, drawings and sculpture in over twenty auctions each year. She examines and evaluates thousands of works of art annually.

Ms. Toledano regularly shares her expertise with collectors outside the New York area during the appraisal days scheduled at Doyle New York’s regional offices and elsewhere. She also works with heirs, families and fiduciaries in providing estate appraisals for fine art.

Ms. Toledano received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History at Syracuse University. She also pursued graduate studies in Gallery and Retail Art Administration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 2007, she completed the Appraisers Association of America course on USPAP compliance (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice).
