Emily Longley

Vice President / Director of Client Strategy, Charleston Regional Advisor

Emily Grimball Longley joined Doyle in 2023 as the Director of Client Strategy for Doyle and the Charleston Regional Advisor. A native of Charleston, Mrs. Longley is excited to be back home and part of Doyle's regional expansion. Mrs. Longley oversees operations and strategic growth for the Southeast region, including Doyle’s new gallery and showroom space on King Street.   

Before joining Doyle, Mrs. Longley worked at Christie’s in New York for fourteen years. She began her career there as the administrator of the Silver Department and 19th Century Furniture and Decorative Arts. Mrs. Longley then moved to the Impressionist and Modern Art Department to focus on client strategy. She became the VP, Co-Head and Client Strategy Director of the 20th Century and 21st Century Art Department. In this position, she oversaw client strategy for Impressionist and Modern Art, American Art, Prints, and Latin American Paintings, including sale strategy and client targeting for the 20th and 21st Century Evening sales with a specific focus on the Impressionist and Modern Evening sales and the growth of the Asia market. In her last year at Christie’s, these evening sales in New York totaled over $1.3 billion. Mrs. Longley's leadership in the growth of the Asia market in the sale category contributed to these numbers.   

Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Washington and Lee University. At W&L, Emily volunteered at the Reeves Museum of Ceramics, which houses one of the country’s best collections of Chinese and Japanese export ceramics. At University, Emily was awarded the inaugural Sally Mann Prize for Photography, which is awarded annually to an exceptional photography student.
