Bill Fiddler

Vice President / Director, American Art

Bill Fiddler joined Doyle in 2015 and is a Vice President and the Director of the American Art Department. He is responsible for appraising works of art, in addition to researching, cataloguing and marketing paintings, drawings and sculpture to a global audience of buyers. He organizes multiple sales of art each year, including the semiannual sales of American Art. He meets regularly with collectors, families and fiduciaries advising them on their collections and organizing consignments of art to auction. Bill began at Doyle in the Client Services Department where he assisted buyers and organized bidding in sales of all categories.

Prior to Doyle, Bill worked for fifteen years at the Spanierman Gallery, for over fifty years one of the leading galleries specializing in American Art. During his time there, he served as the gallery manager responsible for inventory control, cataloguing and business administration.

Bill earned a BFA in Art and Art History at Oklahoma State University, and an MFA in Painting from Virginia Commonwealth University.
